StretchingOur Physical Therapists Have Advanced Qualifications That Set Them Apart

Rehabilitation therapy is an important part of a treatment plan for many conditions. Physical Therapy is also used effectively in helping injured workers return to the workforce, people suffering from arthritis and people recovering from surgery.

Exercises may vary and change from patient to patient, but the goal is always the same. The aim of a rehabilitation program is to regain pre-injury levels in all aspects of physical fitness. Correction of muscle imbalance problems around the shoulder, hip or knee are addressed effectively with exercise rehabilitation guided by a trained professional. Core stability muscles are also an important part of the treatment of chronic lower back pain.

A full rehabilitation and strengthening program is essential to ensure full recovery and in order to prevent further injury. These exercises sometimes include muscle stretching, joint mobility exercises or muscle strengthening exercises. A rehabilitation and strengthening program is essential to ensure full recovery and in order to prevent re-injuries.

Exercise Rehabilitation Helps Improve Flexibility and Balance

Flexibility is the ability to extend or stretch without breaking. Medically, the term is used to describe the range of motion in a muscle or joint. Increasing your flexibility is crucial for preventing injury and it can also improve performance. Loss of flexibility can lead to permanent changes in posture and normal muscle function. Therefore, there are countless benefits for all aspects of life in maintaining and improving the body’s flexibility and balance. Our physiotherapy programs can help you achieve those benefits.

Specialized Techniques to Enhance Recovery

Graston Technique for Soft Tissue Healing

We incorporate the Graston Technique®, an advanced form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that uses specialized stainless-steel tools to detect and treat scar tissue, adhesions, and fascial restrictions that can limit mobility and cause pain. This technique helps accelerate recovery from conditions such as muscle strains, tendonitis, scar tissue formation, and chronic soft-tissue pain by promoting circulation, breaking down restrictive tissue, and improving functional movement.

Pediatric Physical Therapy – Ages 5 and Older

At our Hoboken clinic, we also offer pediatric physical therapy for children ages 5 and older. This service addresses musculoskeletal injuries, sports-related conditions, developmental movement issues, and functional limitations unique to growing bodies. Our pediatric physical therapists design age-appropriate programs that focus on strength, balance, coordination, and safe movement patterns, while making therapy engaging and comfortable for young patients. We partner with families and caregivers to ensure progress continues beyond the clinic through guided home activities and education.
